Another case of COVID-19 has been reported in a Central Okanagan school, making it 11 schools in the region.

Central Okanagan Public Schools confirmed late Tuesday, Nov. 10, a "member of the Constable Neil Bruce Middle School community" in West Kelowna tested positive and is self-isolating at home. Later today, at 12:45 p.m., officials confirmed another student at Kelowna Secondary School has tested positive. Kelowna Secondary School has had multiple cases over the past two weeks, though neither Interior Health, nor the school board will say how many.

School and health authorities typically don't say if it's a teacher, a student or administration.

A release from the school board says Interior Health will be following up with potential exposures through contact tracing.

This has been the ninth school in the district and eleventh school in the region to have reported exposures. North Glenmore Elementary, Kelowna Secondary School, Glenrosa Middle School, Ecole KLO Middle School, Okanagan Mission Secondary School, Springvalley Elementary School, Rose Valley Elementary, Ecole Dr. Knox Middle School and now Constable Neil Bruce have all had one or several exposures. Additional exposures were reported in one French language school and two Catholic schools.
