A case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at École KLO Middle School in Kelowna.

The Central Okanagan school district says Interior Health has confirmed a member of the middle school’s community has tested positive for the virus.

The person is self-isolating at home. Neither the school district nor Interior Health will say if the person is a student, parent or staff member.

Interior Health’s school exposure website lists potential exposures at KLO middle on Nov. 6, 9, 10 and 12.

There have been COVID-19 exposures at 12 schools in Kelowna since classes resumed.

"The safety and well-being of students, families, and staff remains our highest priority,” reads a school district media release. “Central Okanagan Public Schools will continue to implement the strict health and safety protocols and procedures that are in place so students and staff can continue to attend school as safely as possible. “

The school district asks students and staff to stay home from school if they have any symptoms.
