Costco did a “soft opening” of its new Kelowna gas station today, Dec. 10 and is selling gas for about nine cents a litre less than its competition.
Martin Groleau, vice-president for e-commerce for Costco, sent an email to iNFOnews.ca just after 1 p.m. announcing the opening.
The station, at the corner of Baron and Durnin roads has 12 fuelling stations with two pumps on each for 24 in total.
Gas at most Kelowna stations is shown at $1.43.9 on GasBuddy.com but Costco is listed at $1.34.9.

Traditionally in Kamloops, Costco has been cheaper than other gas stations.
Today as Costco is selling regular gas for $1.39.9 in Kamloops versus $1.49.9 for most other stations.
The new, 167,177 square foot Costco warehouse store in Kelowna is slated to open in February.
