COSAR search for missing man at Big White a success

BIG WHITE - A Joe Rich area man reported missing Tuesday when he didn't return from a hike at Big White has been located.

The 39-year-old was dropped off Tuesday by a friend at the Gem Lake parking lot according to Global Okanagan.

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue performed an aerial search and also sent a search team on ATVs. The Big White fire department also participated in the search.

He was eventually found and escorted to the base of the mountain.
