Drivers in the northbound lane of the Coquihalla can expect traffic delays this afternoon following a vehicle incident.

Today, June 19, a vehicle incident between Exit 231 onto Mine Creek Road and Exit 238 onto Juliet Road caused the highway's partial closure, between Hope and Merritt.

The northbound lane has since reopened but DriveB.C. warns drivers to expect traffic delays as a right-lane closure is in place as highway crews recover the vehicle.

DriveB.C. also reported an air ambulance on scene.

- This story was updated June 19, 2021 at 1:50 p.m. to say the road has reopened.
