The woman was driving northbound when the SUV left the road about 500 metres south of the Inks Lake exit, travelled through the ditch, went through a wildlife fence and down an embankment, according to police.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both RCMP Central Interior Traffic Services and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating.

Anyone who saw the crash and hasn’t already spoken with investigators is asked to call Traffic Services in Kamloops at 250-828-3159.
