KAMLOOPS - Police are searching for a man who failed to show up for his sentencing hearing for multiple drug-related charges this week.

Shane Cameron, 33, was expected to be sentenced yesterday for multiple files and charges including: four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of knowingly possessing a prohibited weapon without a license, two counts of possession of a firearm contrary to an order, willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer and a breach. Cameron has multiple warrants for his arrest.

Jeremy Jensen removed himself as lawyer for Cameron yesterday.

Crown prosecutor Anthony Varesi said Cameron was fully aware of his sentencing hearing and requested the warrant for his arrest for what he called 'serious' charges.

Cameron is 5'8", 170 pounds with brown hair and eyes.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the local police detachment at 250-828-3000 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous.
