A robbery suspect took police officers on a foot chase in Kamloops.
Police were alerted to the attempted robbery at a commercial location in the 400 block of Seymour Street at approximately 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, according to an RCMP media release. RCMP do not identify the business.
The suspect fled on foot and multiple officers responded after getting a description.
“A plainclothes police officer located a suspect running and engaged in a foot pursuit,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release. “The foot pursuit ended in the 400-block of Lansdowne Street when the suspect was safety taken into custody by members of the General Investigations Support Team.”
The suspect has been released from custody with conditions, and is due in court at a later date.
