If you were thinking April was a cool and wet month in the Okanagan and Kamloops, you were correct.
While April's weather may not have been ideal for outdoor recreation, the moisture was good for the drought conditions being experienced in the Thompson-Okanagan region.
Kamloops received the most rain last month among the four major cities in the region with 21 millimetres, according to Environment Canada weather data.
Vernon was next with 19.9 mm in April, followed closely by Penticton at 19.7 mm. Kelowna received 11.9 mm.
Kamloops also recorded the rainiest day in the region with 11.8 mm falling on April 26.

The first few days of May should be sunny with above normal temperatures for this time of year.
