Elsewhere in the country, The Weather Network is forecasting a sweltering start to the week in Ontario, with temperatures in the 30s C and high humidities making it feel closer to 40 C.

There’s a risk of storms across eastern Ontario today and tomorrow before the humidity levels drop off around mid-week.

The normal high and low for Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton for the second week of August is 27 C and 12 C.
