Drivers are being warned today that massive delays can be expected along the Coquihalla today due to ongoing construction.

The construction is occurring between Merritt and Hope for flood recovery efforts, according to a post from DriveB.C.

"Delays can be expected for southbound traffic until the traffic volume eases," according to DriveB.C. "Expect major delays due to congestion."

A long line of traffic can be seen in the southbound lanes of Highway 5 at Larson Hill, roughly 36 kilometres south of Merritt.
