Housing demand is high in Penticton these days, and builders are working to create new living spaces in the city.

The first half of 2021 has seen record construction values combining with a hot housing market, with building permit values totalling $95,675,345 to the end of April, more than double the same period last year.

More residential units have been created than ever, with 346 units to the end of April so far this year compared to last year’s 223.

The City of Penticton recently posted a blog listing construction projects currently taking place in the city, listing 13 projects currently underway in Penticton, beginning with the Mission Group Rental Community at 285 Westminster, under construction steps away from Okanagan Lake, and downtown amenities.

Skaha Shores is the home of 180 rental suites in two buildings, all within 100 metres of Skaha Lake.
