Longtime Conservative MP Dan Albas has won in the new riding of Okanagan Lake West-South Kelowna.
At the time iNFOnews.ca called it for Albas, at 9:35 p.m., he was leading with 54.7% of the vote with 65.91% of polls reporting. He was well ahead of the nearest competitor, Liberal candidate Juliette Sicotte, who had 38.9% of the votes.
He beat Sicotte, the NDP's Harpreet Badohal and the Green Party's Louise Lecouffe.
Albas has been a MP for 14 years.
He was first elected in Okanagan-Coquihalla in 2011, then three times in a row in the riding of Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola in 2015, 2019 and 2021.
