KELOWNA – An accident between two commercial vehicles on Highway 97 near Winfield Thursday morning resulted in one of the drivers going to hospital and another issued a traffic violation.
Cpl. Joe Duncan of the Kelowna RCMP says the accident happened just north of Ellison Lake when one of the drivers merged his vehicle into the other shortly after 6 a.m.
“The one driver refused medical attention and the other driver went to hospital with a leg injury and a sore arm,” he says.
Duncan confirmed one of the trucks was a commercial Super Save vehicle and the other a DCT Chambers semi.
The reason for the violation ticket could not be confirmed.
