RCMP are looking for tips after multiple commercial vehicles were damaged by gunshots in Peachland last week.

Officers were called on Tuesday, Oct. 17, to a report about trucks damaged by gunfire in the 4900 block of Trepanier Road in Peachland, according to an RCMP media release.

Five vehicles had been damaged, including a tractor-truck and four dump trucks, RCMP said. Surveillance footage was obtained but the suspects’ identities have not been confirmed.

RCMP don't identify the trucks' owner.

“These types of crimes are of great concern to the RCMP and our community. The RCMP is actively investigating this incident to identify those responsible and understand their motivation,” RCMP spokesperson Const. Mike Della-Paolera said in the release.

Anyone with information regarding suspicious activity in that area on the night of the incident should report it to West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880, referencing file number 2023-62084. To make an anonymous report, the Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers should be contacted at 1-800-222-8477 or on their website here.
