Commercial flights cancelled today at Penticton Regional Airport

Commerial flights into and out of Penticton have been affected by today's snowfall, Dec. 29, 2017.

PENTICTON - Today’s winter conditions have disrupted travel plans for passengers in Penticton today.

WestJet media spokesperson Lauren Stewart says due to safety considerations the airline has cancelled today’s Calgary/Penticton flights.

“We felt conditions were not safe due to low visibility and the condition of the runway,” Stewart said in an email today.

She said the airline apologizes for the cancellations and will be working on recommending options for tomorrow morning, should conditions improve.

The Air Canada website indicates the two remaining flights scheduled for today have been cancelled. Air Canada flight information can be found at this website.
