KAMLOOPS – Expect a blast from the past to light up the stage this summer, Sun Peaks has just announced its summer concert series and it includes some big names.
The voice of Foreigner, Lou Gramm, kicks off the summer the first weekend of July. Foreigner has sold over 80 million albums world-wide, and Gramm will be singing their biggest hits including I want to know what love is, Hot Blooded and Cold as Ice.
The weekend of July 25 kicks off Country Fest. This is the second annual festival where people can celebrate Western culture, with live music and activities, throughout the weekend.
The Retro Concert weekend comes back for its sixth year in August. Concert-goers can enjoy three days of classic rock from Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band Willy and the Poor Boys or Motely Crue tribute band Live Wire.
Closing out August, Colin James will take to the stage. James is a six-time Juno award-winning musician of the blues, rock and neo-swing genre. He last performed in Sun Peaks during the 2013 concert series.
Concerts begin the weekend of July 3, and continue until the last weekend of August. For more information on the events, visit the Sun Peaks website.
