Near normal temperatures will give way to clearer but colder skies in Kamloops and the Okanagan early this week.

The Environment Canada online forecast for Kamloops shows a high temperature of 3 Celsius today under cloudy but dropping to daytime highs of -2 C to -4 C the rest of the week with overnight lows down as far as -9 C on Wednesday morning. There should be a mix of sun and clouds for much of the week.

The Okanagan is looking at warmer temperatures today with a high of 4 C with a 30% chance of showers in Vernon and Kelowna. Mostly cloudy skies tomorrow should give way to sunshine by Wednesday.

Highs will drop below freezing later in the week with the coldest day forecast to have a high of -5 C on Thursday. Overnight lows will be coldest Wednesday with -8 C forecast.

The weekend is expected to be warmer but there is a chance of snow flurries in the Okanagan as early as Thursday night.
