Cloudy week in store for Kamloops

A gloomy week is in store for Kamloops residents as clouds dominate the forecast.

KAMLOOPS - Clouds and more clouds are expected this week in Kamloops.

Environment Canada meteorologist Carmen Hartt says what you see is what you get for the next few days as a high pressure ridge produces some thick valley cloud that isn’t moving anywhere soon.

A changing weather pattern on Thursday, Jan. 17, will bring — you guessed it — more clouds, this time laden with snow with up to two centimetres worth expected.

Today, Jan. 14, Kamloops can expect clouds and a high of 0 Celsius and a low of -2 C.

It will be overcast on the valley floor tomorrow and Wednesday with sunny skies over higher terrain, and highs both days of -1 C and a lows around -3 C. There’s a 70 per cent chance of flurries Wednesday night as well.

Expect clouds and periods of snow on Thursday, with a high of -1 C and a low of - 4 C.

Friday will be cloudy with a high of -1 C and low of -3 C.

Normal temperatures at this time of year in Kamloops are highs of -1 C and lows of -8 C.
