City of Prince George releases handy pothole diagram

It’s not yet warm enough to fill in the potholes that emerged over the wintertime in Prince George, and City officials have explained why in a cheeky Facebook post.

“Beneath the tranquil waters of every puddle could lie a giant rim-wrecking, big, bad, monster pothole,” reads the post. “Stay out of the water if you can – there is no lifeguard on duty.”

The City says the potholes can’t be fixed right now because they’re full of water. But on the bright side, “When it gets cold overnight, the water in the puddles will freeze and the hole will be filled. Nice!”

“Really bad” potholes can be reported to the City by emailing 311@princegeorge.ca.

Crews fulled in over 7,500 pothole in 2022.

“This year won't be any different as we had a winter full of so much thawing and freezing.”
