KELOWNA - Premier Christy Clark is officially the new MLA for Westside-Kelowna.
She was sworn in by the clerk of the house today at the Vancouver Premier's Office at Canada Place.
It was a small ceremony attended only by cabinet members including Minister of Transport Todd Stone, Minister of Agriculture Pat Pimm and Minister of Jobs Shirley Bond.
Premier's Office spokesperson Ben Chin says Clark was in the midst of a cabinet meeting before the ceremony.
"We did it fairly low-key... There's been a lot of celebration already and she's got a lot of work to do," Chin says.
Clark is still looking for a place to live in the Westside and plans to set up her home in the Okanagan as soon as possible.
Clark was joined by her cabinet members for the ceremony.
