KAMLOOPS - For those hoping for a white Christmas, there’s a chance you’ll get your wish.

Environment Canada is calleding for a mix of sun and cloud today, Dec. 22, with a high of 2 Celsius, the high point for the next few days. Tonight the temperature will drop to around -3 C with more cloud cover moving in and a 30 per cent chance of flurries.

Tomorrow expect a cloudy day with a chance of flurries and a high 0 C. At night there’s a more serious chance of snow at 60 per cent and the low a relatively mild -2 C.

As we head into the weekend the clouds will stay with us through Chirstmas Eve on Saturday, with snow flurries and a high of -1 C. But it will be a bit of a chilly one for Santa as the skies clear and Kamloops drops to -9 C overnight.

However, that means Christmas Day on Sunday is expected to be sunny and bright with a crisp high of -5 C. It will remain clear into the evening when temperatures dip back down to -10 C overnight.

Boxing Day on Monday will see the clouds moving back in with a high of -5 C during the day and low of -6 C that evening.

Next week the forecast is calling for a return to more normal temperatures for this time of year with highs around 0 C.
