Chase RCMP arrest robbery suspect

CHASE - Chase police have arrested a man who they have been searching for since October.

A media release from Oct. 25 states that the suspect, Damian Nathan Thiessen, 25, was wanted for robbery, disguise face with intent, possession of a controlled substance, and theft under $5000.

This past Saturday, Nov. 10, Chase detachment members located Thiessen on Shepherd Road in Chase, a media release says. Police determine Thiessen fled into a residence on Brooke Drive unbeknownst to the occupants. Police located him there where he resisted arrest before being taken into custody.

Thiessen was arrested for resisting a peace officer and four outstanding warrants of arrest.

Thiessen is being held in custody to appear in Kamloops Provincial Court on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018.
