CHASE- A man has been arrested by Chase RCMP after attempting to rob a local business.
On Jan. 30, at approximately 1:10 p.m. a man allegedly entered the Bear’s Den Esso and demanded money from the clerk.
The suspect then realized there were other employees in the store, threatened to return to rob the store and left the building, according to a Chase RCMP release.
The male did not receive any money and nobody was injured during the attempted robbery, detachment spokesperson Cpl. Scott Linklater says.
The 35-year-old suspect, who's from the Chase area, was arrested the next day for the alleged attempted robbery.
“He was held in custody to appear in Kamloops Provincial Court,” said Linklater.
