Charges laid in Kamloops drug trafficking probe

Two Kamloops men are facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation last year.

The Kamloops RCMP Targeted Enforcement Unit arrested two men as part of an ongoing probe on Nov. 9, 2020, according to an RCMP news release.

Cody Lee Arthur Housego, 26, of Kamloops, is charged with one count of possessing methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Darcy Dean Anderson, 32, of Kamloops, faces four charges: Two related to unlawfully possessing fentanyl and methamphetamine, and charges of possessing instruments suitable for the purpose of breaking into a place or motor vehicle, and possessing an identity document related to another person, without a lawful excuse.

Anderson’s next court appearance is scheduled for March 11; Housego is slated for March 29.
