PENTICTON - Police have recommended several charges after a man was arrested following an incident in a Penticton convenience store yesterday.

Penticton RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Ted Manchulenko says police were called to the South Main Street  7-Eleven around 3 a.m. yesterday, Dec. 11, following reports of a man stealing a phone and assaulting the store employee.

The man fled the premises after kicking out a window in the store, heading north on Main Street.

Police found the man at a housing complex a short distance away, arresting him on charges of theft, assault and mischief.
