KELOWNA - The Central Okanagan Community Food Bank is looking for a new executive director.

Food bank board of director chairperson Fraser Campbell announced today, June 5, the operation will be advertising for a new executive director as Lenetta Parry leaves the role. The reason for Parry's departure has not been made public, though Campbell said there will be more information on the new direction of the operation in the days to come.

“Lenetta has dedicated time, energy and effort into making our community a better place. We are proud of where we have come since 2015 when the Westside Community Food Bank and Kelowna Community Food Bank amalgamated,” said Campbell in a press release.

“Lenetta has been a big part of that and our board wishes her the best.”

The board of directors will assist the Central Okanagan Food Bank’s team until a replacement is found.

"I’ve really appreciated working alongside an amazing team of staff, volunteers and community partners," Parry said. "Together, we have done great work building this leading edge facility and providing dignity to our clients. I wish the organization future success.’
