Are you ready for your close-up, Kamloops?
Infraction Media Inc.is looking for actors for its upcoming action thriller Valetika. The movie will be made with Mastermind Studios in Kamloops, though that wasn't always the case.
Writer and director Suza Singh said the beauty and diversity of the region prompted a shift for production out of Alberta. Valetika is the fifth feature film for Suza.
“We are centralizing our production to Mastermind Studios. We feel this is a logical decision due to their professionalism, expertise, and familiarity with the industry," Suza said in a press release.
"Mastermind Studios has trained to industry standard many professionals for the crew so we are in very capable hands. We look forward to working with local businesses, talent and crew in the Kamloops and TNRD region of B.C.”
Lochlyn Munro, Cung Le, Sunny Singh, Dakota House, Asha Annais, Rajat Bedi and Simon Kook will take on roles in this feature and Suza said the company is particularly proud of its strong Canadian and International line up.
Canada has rich diverse communities and presenting a wide range of cultures has always and will always remain a top focus for our company. Representation can be achieved without utilizing stereotypes nor compromising the integrity of the production.
Suza said Infraction Media has always believed in promoting new talent alongside established actors and with Valetika there will be opportunities for local talent to take on several great roles in this feature film.
For people who are interested in auditioning for ‘Valetika’ more information can be found on Facebook under ‘Valetika’, 'Mastermind Studios’ and Infraction Media, or email talent@mastermindstudios.ca for the invite-only talent@mastermindstudios.ca audition.
