Whether you're old enough to remember when it topped the charts in 1971 or just a fan of what is one of the best selling albums of all time, a chance to hear Carole King's iconic album Tapestry is coming to Vernon.

Tapestry, the Carole King Songbook, starring Suzanne O Davis is coming to the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre on May 25, 2020, with tickets going on this Friday, Dec. 6.

King's iconic 1971 album, Tapestry has sold over 25 million copies worldwide and included hits You’ve Got a Friend, I Feel the Earth Move, and It’s Too Late and Beautiful. A Broadway musical about King's life was aptly named Beautiful.

According to a media release, Tapestry, the Carole King Songbook, starring Suzanne O Davis recreates a "respectful and accurate presentation of piano and vocals" which will take the audience back on a musical journey.

The theatre production will feature a full band and also include music from a selection of albums King released throughout her career. Along with her solo career, the musical tribute will pay homage to a selection of hits King wrote with her former husband Gerry Goffin - songs that went onto become hits for everyone from Athrea Franklin to The Beatles.

Tickets for Tapestry, the Carole King Songbook, starring Suzanne O Davis cost $45 and go on sale Dec. 6. For more information and tickets go here.
