RCMP seized a car full of drugs and guns in the Similkameen last week.
An officer with Keremeos Highway Patrol pulled over a vehicle on Nov. 1, associated with a prohibited driver on Highway 97, according to a press release issued today, Nov. 6.
When the officer searched the man’s vehicle they found guns and drugs, and called in the Penticton RCMP for assistance with the investigation.
Police found 10 loaded guns, a high capacity magazine, large amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine, and a load of cash.
The seized firearms seized included one 9 mm semi-automatic pistol, one revolver, one shotgun and seven rifles including a 7.62 SKS rifle with folding bayonet.

“This is a significant seizure by BC Highway Patrol of drugs and weapons associated to suspected criminal activity,” Sgt. Ryan McLeod from BCHP said.
The man has been taken into custody and is facing charges related to the weapons and drugs.
