Car crash in Williams Lake claims two lives

Two people are dead after a two-vehicle collision in Williams Lake yesterday.

Williams Lake RCMP are investigating after a Volkswagen Golf collided with a Honda Pilot at the intersection of Gibbon Road and Richard Road Sunday, June 27.

Police responded around 7:30 p.m., where the occupants of the Volkswagen, a man and a woman, were pronounced dead on the scene.

The Volkswagen was travelling south and turning left onto Gibbon Road, where the westbound Honda Pilot on Gibbon Road struck the car, according to an RCMP release.

The occupants of the Honda Pilot received non-life-threatening injuries. Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
