Cannabis legalization benefits Okanagan company

Pacific Northwest Garden Supply Kelowna staff are have the answers you're looking for when it comes to growing.

The legalization of cannabis has taken a West Kelowna company’s growth to new heights.

Since legalization last October, supplying growers with all they need to be successful has become a huge part of Pacific Northwest Garden Supply Kelowna’s business.

Successful growing, whether it is with traditional soil, or using technology and water rich in mineral nutrients, is nothing new for PNW. They have been educating and supplying growers of all levels with hydroponic equipment, nutrients, grow mediums, information and guidance to grow everything from tomatoes to orchids to legal cannabis for 25 years.

“I’m particularly excited to see where legal cannabis goes because people are now willing to put forth the effort and financial backing into research and development of legal cannabis. It’s really good to see it evolving and people understanding it better.” says PNW manager Dallas Miller
“People are feeling more comfortable and less intimidated by wanting to start growing,” says Miller.

Because of the level of education and experience of the staff, which definitely enjoy a family dynamic at the West Kelowna outlet, people put their trust in what they know and the products they provide.

“It’s rewarding to see the success of their investments. We’ll help determine what you need. We really care about what we’re doing and love to hear follow ups,” says Miller, who’s been a part of the team for 12 years, along with assistant manager Chris Leclaire.

“Growing cannabis used to be taboo, now people can legally grow their own four plants or apply to be a government licensed producer. We can even have micro licensees likened to craft breweries,” explains Miller. Many clients of PNW are enquiring about micro licensing.

To support their vast knowledge and experience, PNW has partnered with BC Craft Supply Co., who, according to Miller, is the most reputable in the industry. Along with BC Craft, PNW has access to loads of experts including lawyers, scientists and building code officials.

The thriving company also lends their team’s knowledge and expertise about all aspects and types of growing to students studying hydroponics and traditional growing, and even to the Canadian Mental Health Association’s programs.

The interest in growing various plants and vegetables either hydroponically or traditionally continues to flourish, and PNW ensures that they will guide you on the right path towards success.

If you’re interested in learning more about growing via traditional or hydroponic methods, the qualified staff at PNW is available to support you, whether you are a novice or licensed legal cannabis grower, or a vegetable or flower grower looking for the right equipment and supplies to get you successfully from seed to harvest.
