More than 18 centimetres of snow are blocking the way to Canada's highest polling station at Big White.

But the Okanagan mountain residents aren't letting that stop them.

Stationed in the Inn at Big White, the polling station is at 5,757 feet which Big White calls the highest polling station.

Approximately 250 people were expected to cast their ballots at the station today, which closes at 7 p.m.

Big White is in the South Okanagan-West Kootenay riding.
