The Latest: 3 injured in stabbing attack in Panorama City

PANORAMA, Calif. - The Latest on the stabbing of two women and two children in Southern California (all times local):

8:15 p.m.

Officials say a man who led authorities on a pursuit from the San Fernando Valley to Glendale Sunday after allegedly stabbing four people has been arrested after an hours-long standoff at a construction site.

The man is suspected in the attack Sunday afternoon in Panorama City against two women and two children, including a 3-month-old baby wounded in the leg.

Los Angeles Police Sgt. Mike Goldberg tells KTLA the suspect apparently had previously had a relationship with someone at the home and had returned when the "disturbance" occurred and family members were stabbed. He says one of the victims is undergoing surgery.

The man initially fled the scene after the stabbings but returned to pick up his car. Officers waiting there tried to arrest him but he escaped, prompting a pursuit that ended when his car crashed and flipped over.

The man got out and ran to a construction site in Glendale where a crisis negotiation team tried to convince him to come down into evening.
