PERRIS, Calif. - Investigators say a critically injured homeless man may have been the victim of a mountain lion attack at a Southern California encampment.
Dan Sforza with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife told the Riverside Press-Enterprise (http://bit.ly/1n5lELV ) the man was hospitalized Saturday morning.
Sforza said the man was not able to tell investigators what attacked him, but his injuries suggest he was attacked by a cougar.
The man, whose name was not released, is expected to survive.
