The Vernon Home Building Centre has a busy contractor desk catering to some of the area's largest projects. When if you come in the main entrance, individuals will be greeted by the Customer Service desk where they are happy to help. "In July and August, we’ll see the most families in the store," Keith points out. With kids out of school, summer projects take on a multi-generational vibe; grandparents with toddlers in tow, and teenagers pop in to pick up things for a project with Mom and Dad.
Vernon Home Builders is one of those locations where today's grinning youngster may be tomorrow's general contractor—a store where the cashiers not only know their customers by heart, but also know their kids' names.
