Women looking for a spiritual way to celebrate the full moon on Sunday can look no further than the Buck Moon Magical Sound Experience near Kamloops.

Niki Wenzel welcomes women of the community to join her at The Gathering Place on Sunday, July 21, in Knutsford for an evening of reflection and healing vibrations under a sound bath.

“We gather women together in a safe and sacred space,” Wenzel said.

Wenzel has been running this event for two years on her property and is dreaming up new activities to enhance the experience of her guests and enchant their evening.

Starting at 6 p.m., a light language singer and crystal singing bowls will chime in the evening to deepen the connection guests have with themselves and others, connecting the singer and listener to the universe.

“It’s very peaceful, very private. It’s surrounded by grasses and trees. It’s a really special place and our goal is to bring women together to feel safe, to feel heard, to feel connected to other women. It was really important to me to have people feel like they can come here and there’s no judgement.”

Wenzel wants all women to feel welcome, involved and the healing energy of the event. Guests are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, a pillow and a blanket as well as a journal and pencil for reflection throughout the two hour event.

“It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, what walk of life you’re from, we are welcoming everybody. It happens to fall on the evening of a buck moon so we’re excited about that.”
