Winter travel advisories are being replaced by construction related advisories as seasons change on the Coquihalla Highway.

Drive B.C. has issued a travel advisory for the Hope to Merritt section of the highway, 2 km north of Hope to 1 km south of Merritt from tomorrow, April 16 to Tuesday, May 25.

Bridge construction will be commencing for both directions at Portia Bridge with 5 metre lane width restrictions in place 24 hours a day.

Loads in excess of 5 metres in width will need a permit by calling 250-318-7907, 24 hours in advance.

Further updates are expected on the Drive BC website on May 25.
