PENTICTON - A flash storm has flooded the area of Wilson Avenue and Arnott Place.
The intense storm wrapped up about 5:45 p.m. and flooded about a dozen houses, filling basements and leaving about a foot of water pooling in the streets. Witnesses say the water doesn't appear to be draining down sewer grates.
People are assisting those in need with sump pumps and buckets. City staff is on scene.
With the passing of the storm, the clouds have once again been replaced by sunny skies.
Water has pooled in the streets.
