A 32-year-old Vernon man arrested for break and enter on Good Friday is being investigated for other similar crimes reported in the area over the past month.
Vernon RCMP took the suspect into custody after a break and enter in the 6900 block of L & A Road. Police say he was also arrested for taking a vehicle without the owner's consent. Members soon discovered the man was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants and that he had a small quantify of heroin in his possession, along with items reported stolen from the break and enter on L & A Road.
Mounties are questioning the man because of the similarity of the break and enter on L & A Road and others reported in rural areas of Vernon over the past month. In each incident, a window was broken, the door opened and items stolen, mainly from the bedroom.
