KELOWNA - A suspect in a commercial break and enter was arrested early this morning, Oct. 24, in a camper van in the Kelowna city hall parking lot.

Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a release that the suspect, a 34-year-old Kelowna man is facing several charges after he was caught with items allegedly taken during a weekend break and enter.

On Sunday, Oct. 23, at 7:51 a.m., police responded to a report of a possible break and enter in progress at a buisness on the 1400 block of Ellis Street.

O’Donaghey says when police arrived, they surrounded the building but found no one inside.

Investigations show the suspect entered the buisness through the rooftop and once inside, stole multiple items worth more than $5,000.

The suspect is expected to appear in court today.
