KAMLOOPS - This morning Kamloops RCMP responded to a call from a residence reporting a break and enter.

The call came in at about 10 a.m. this morning Jun. 10. A media release says the caller told police they heard someone in their house on Clearwater Ave near Schubert Drive.

Police responded and secured the area around the residence. Traffic into the area was interrupted for a brief period while a police dog was working the scene.

The dog was able to track a suspect to another residence near by, where police arrested the male suspect.

Police want to thank those affected for their patience, and for keeping to their residences while police were tracking this suspect.

They says this collaboration greatly assisted in the successful arrest of the suspect.

While traffic has been fully re-opened, the police will likely remain in the area for a good part of the day in order to collect further evidence and complete their investigation.
