Oliver RCMP are investigating a second shooting in the community in less than a week.
Officers responded to a disturbance between two men at a house in the 5500 block of Yarrow Street in Oliver yesterday, June 15, around 5:50 p.m., according to an RCMP media release.
A 43-year-old Oliver man suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot by the 62-year-old resident of the property.
The injured man faces mischief and dangerous driving charges, while the alleged shooter has been charged with firearms offences.
Both men have been released from custody and are due in court on Sept. 16.
RCMP say there does not appear to be any relation between this shooting and one that occurred on June 13, where a man was fatally shot.
Police would like to speak to witnesses or anyone who may have information about this disturbance.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Oliver RCMP at 250-498-3422, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
