KAMLOOPS - Kamloops residents can look forward to a relatively stable weather pattern and above normal temperatures over the next few days.

Environment Canada meteorologist Carmen Hartt says a large high pressure ridge will dominate Kamloops weather over the next few days, with alternating sun and cloud, the possibility of morning fog patches and temperatures trending above 0 Celsius by day and below 0 C by night.

A weak trough moving through the city on Saturday night may bring a few showers or flurries. Above normal temperatures over the next few days will slowly drop to more seasonal norms early next week.

The forecast calls for clouds to give way to a mix of sun and cloud around noon today, Jan. 24, with a high of 1 C. There is a 40 per cent chance of flurries overnight with a low of -3 C.

Tomorrow will be much the same, with mainly cloudy skies, a high of 4 C and an overnight low of -2 C.

On Saturday the sun breaks out again, with a high of 5 C and a 60 per cent possibility of showers overnight.

Expect a mix of sun and cloud on Sunday with a high of 3 C and an overnight low of -5 C.

Normal temperatures at this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 0 C and lows of -7 C.
