A Penticton man reported missing in January and was recently found deceased.

Kurtis Robinson, 59, was reported missing at the end of January and police do not think his death is suspicious, according to a press release from police issued on Saturday.

Robinson's body was found in Skaha Lake, and police also recovered a vehicle.

When he was reported missing police were concerned about his wellbeing since it was out of character for him to be out of contact. Police were also searching for his 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche.

Penticton RCMP were at the north end of Skaha Lake near Airport Road to recover a vehicle on Saturday morning. A lane of Skaha Lake Road was temporarily closed as the Underwater Recovery Team is working, but traffic continued to flow both ways.

At the time, Penticton RCMP asked the public to avoid stopping or approaching the area of the beach while the vehicle was being recovered.
