Body found on Kal Beach in Coldstream

A body was found this morning along the shoreline of Kal Beach in Coldstream.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP spokesperson Const. Chris Terleski said a member of the public discovered the body at Kalamalka Beach at roughly 9:45 a.m. today, April 17.

"The person was pulled from the water and transported to hospital where they were pronounced deceased," Const. Terleski said in an email.

Vernon police along with B.C. Coroners Service have begun a concurrent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the person’s death and investigators are currently in the process of identifying the person and notifying the next of kin.

No other details were provided by the police.
