A body was found in a Vernon ravine near Highway 6 yesterday.
The body was discovered in the wooded ravine by member of the public who reported it to police around 5:15 p.m. yesterday, June 21, according to an RCMP media release.
Vernon RCMP spokesperson Const. Chris Terleski said the body was found in the 2100 block of Highway 6, just west of the intersection of Highway 6 and Pottery Road.
"Based on the preliminary investigation no criminality is suspected at this time and the BC Coroners Service is conducting an independent and concurrent fact-finding investigation to determine how, where, when and by what means the person came to their unexpected death," reads the release.
No other information is being released to the public.
