VERNON – A body was found near Vernon this morning and RCMP consider the person’s death suspicious.
Police say they received a report that a body had been discovered near the intersection of Wilson Jackson Road and Jordashe Road near Vernon at about 7:24 a.m., March 23.
“Following the initial examination of the scene, the death of the individual has been classified as suspicious in nature,” Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says in a media release.
Moskaluk says members of the Southeast District Major Crimes Unit and the B.C. Coroners Service are on the scene in the Silver Star Road area and are investigating.
He says police have no plans to release anymore information at this time.
