OTTAWA - Toronto MP and former interim Liberal leader Bob Rae says he is resigning his seat in the House of Commons.

Rae, who was Ontario premier from 1990 to 1995 for the NDP, has represented the riding of Toronto Centre as a Liberal since 2008.
