KELOWNA – A 26 foot boat docked at the Kelowna Yacht Club somehow became swamped and nearly sank to the bottom on Tuesday.
The only thing that kept the open-bow boat from completely disappearing beneath the surface was that it was tied to the dock.
It is unknown what caused the boat to take on water but officials at the Kelowna Yacht Club say the owner of the craft will likely need a crane to remove it.
Members of the fire department were called to the scene but could not find any gas or oil leaks.
